Based in Seattle, Washington, this adoption agency finds homes for children all around the world. What started as a local support group for parents who had adopted internationally has grown to be one of the largest international nonprofit adoption and child assistance programs in the United States. Since it’s grassroots in 1976, WACAP has placed more than 10,000 children in loving homes and provided humanitarian aid to over 200,000 children worldwide.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is North America’s only national nonprofit charity that is solely dedicated to finding permanent homes for the nearly 150,000 children in foster care. They work by awarding grants to adoption organizations that connect waiting children with families, increasing awareness across the nation, raising funds to support their awareness campaigns, and providing resources to prospective adoptive parents and professionals. You have probably heard of them through the national food chain called Wendy’s. To date, those kids who have been served by Wendy’s have been placed in 6,500 homes.
